Says a man in Ferguson, Mo., was photographed holding a sign that said, "No mother should have to fear for her son's life every time he robs a store."
The viral photo of a Ferguson protester was Photoshopped.(It is blatant lies like this that incite the prejudice --that creates the violence.) The real picture says, "No mother should have to fear for her son's life every time he leaves home."
Democratic Party
The DNC said that "Bush not only opposes marriage equality, he’s said he ‘personally’ believes gay couples should be banned from adopting children."
While in office, Bush repeatedly said that he opposed gay marriage, although he was reluctant at times to amend the state Constitution since it was already banned in state law. He also opposed gay adults adopting children. Since leaving office, Bush said that he supports "traditional marriage,".

Bishop Kevin Kanouse, head of the Northern Texas-Northern Louisiana area of the ELCA, came out in a letter to church leaders. He and his wife have decided to stay together, and he says respects those who choose to live in same-sex bonds.  He hopes to encourage others who may be struggling with their sexuality.

Lgbt
A county clerk in Kentucky, who was married three times, is in contempt of court for continuing to refuse to issue marriage license to a gay couple.
In spite of a Supreme Court ruling on 8/31/15 saying that county clerk, Kim Davis, could not deny a marriage license to a gay couple, she continued to refuse saying she was guided by God's authority.  There was no explanation about how God condoned her three marriages.  The ACLU plans to levy fines.
Pope Francis
During the upcoming Holy, "Jubilee" year, Pope Francis will allow priests to forgive women who had abortions .
Until now the Catholic Church taught that abortion is such a grave sin that those who procure or perform it incur an automatic excommunication. Only designated clergy and missionaries were allowed to formally forgive abortions. Priests may grant absolution between Dec. 8, 2015 to Nov. 26, 2016. Francis described the "existential and moral ordeal" faced by women who have terminated pregnancies.

The Federal Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration performed the first in-depth federal look at conversion therapy and concluded that "none of the existing research" supports that gender orientation can be changed.  Conversion Therapy has resulted in many suicides.

Milwaukee Bucks' John Henson was a victim of racial profiling at jewelry store.
Henson was humiliated when he went to Schwanke-Kasten Jewelers in Whitefish Bay, Wisc. to purchase a watch. The staff saw him coming, locked the doors and hid in the back. Police officers questioned him and ran his plates.  The only reason for the drama was his race.
Planned Parenthood
Grand Jury turns tables on Planned Parenthood accusers, but Texas Governor continues his investigation and his assault on Texas PP clinics.
On 1/25/2016 a Houston grand jury cleared Planned Parenthood of allegations that they sold organs of aborted fetuses, and instead indicted the undercover videographers behind the allegations on charges of using fake driver's licenses and violating Texas' law against the purchase and sale of human organs- the very law they tried to bring against against PP.

In Fact, crime rates have been falling almost without fail for roughly a quarter-century.  This includes violent crimes of murder, rape, robbery and aggravated assault; as well as  property crimes like burglary, larceny and motor vehicle theft.  News coverage of crime may have increased.
