Topic: International Law

"The President wants the U.S. to sign on to the U.N.’s International Criminal Court."
The Obama administration has been more willing to engage with the court than the Bush administration, but Obama has made no sign that he wants to become a full-blown member of the court. Even if he did, doing so would require 67 votes in the Senate.
Lies
Bloggers say, "Florida Democrats just voted to impose Sharia law on women."
Senate Democrats did vote against a bill that prohibits judges from applying foreign law in family-law cases if it contradicts United States public policy. In reality, though, the bill would have essentially codified existing practice. The bill didn’t single out Sharia law, and the United States Constitution still applies.
Prayer Request
PRAYER NEEDED: It appears to be true that ISIS is beheading children in Queragosh, Iraq.
Christians are being given a choice to convert to Muslim, pay a huge fine, or be murdered.  Reportedly, those who pay a fine myst surrender their wives and daughters to ISIS to become Muslim wives.  Children's heads are being desplayed on a stick in the park. See CNN report

The Senate Majority Leader says that the climate-change agreement between the United States and China "requires the Chinese to do nothing at all for 16 years.
Experts say that it is not in China’s interest to spend the next 16 years working toward the goal, but building that infrastructure cannot be done overnight and will take years to carry out.
Sheldon Whitehouse Ri Sen D
Waterboarding was declared "torture back when we court-martialed American soldiers for waterboarding Philippine insurgents in the Philippine revolution."
The "water cure" in the Philippines is not significantly different from the waterboarding done in reaction to the Sept.11 attacks in 2001. The Senate report from 1903 makes it clear that military prosecutors regarded the "water cure" as a form of torture.
Mike Huckabee
MSNBC co-host questions Mike Huckabee's Christian faith, says Baptist pastor's comments on Obama's Iran nuke deal are 'Un-Christian.'
On July 29, 2015, Huckabee said when Obama signs the Iran deal "he will take the Israelis and march them to the door of the oven."  Mika Brzezinski said his comments were "uncivil, and un-Christian." She was upset that he invoked the Holocaust when the European Jews had no allies.  America, on the other hand, is Israel's greatest ally and is working for their protection.
