"While President Obama says all options are on the table for preventing a nuclear Iran, Hagel says military action is not a viable, feasible, responsible option."
The Hagel quote is from 2006, and he later included military options.
Barack Obama
How many of Obama's campaign promises has he kept?
PolitiFact has compiled more than 500 promises that Barack Obama made during the 2008 and 2012 campaigns and is tracking their progress on our Obameter45 percent were kept and 25 percent were compromised.  Check it out.

Mitt Romney
The United States stopped plans to build a missile defense shield in Eastern Europe "as a gift to Russia."
Gates, the Bush official who recommended the plan in 2006, acknowledged he drove the change in policy because of improved American intelligence of what the Iranians were working on -- not just to be nice to the Russians.

"When people enter the service, there’s not a mental health evaluation."
While the armed services review past medical records for a history of mental health issues and allow for the applicant to offer any additional information, it has not prevented a sizable number of individuals with mental health problems from acceptance.
"More than 1,000 American soldiers have lost their lives in Afghanistan in the last 27 months. This is more than the combined total of the nine years before."
These statistics are now so out of date that the trend has actually reversed itself. U.S. military deaths in Afghanistan have been declining for the past four years.
Recirculated email: Mike Savage claims President Obama became the first U.S. president not to lay a wreath at Arlington National Cemetery on Memorial Day.
Presidents Reagan, G.W. Bush, and Clinton have all missed some Memorial Days at Arlington. Obama has participated every year except 2010 when  he honored the veterans with a speech at Andrews Air Force Base.
Henry Kissenger, Nixon Sec of State
Kissinger: Drones have killed more civilians than the bombing of Cambodia in the Vietnam War
While data is not precise in both cases, there have been barely over 1,000 civilian deaths due to precise drone strikes, compared to at least 4,000 civilian deaths due to American bombs in Cambodia where Nixon ordered half a million tons of bombs over four years.

West claims President Barack Obama "ordered our military to enlist illegal aliens."
The program, Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (“DACA”), was initiated by Bush in 2008, before Obama was president. Also experts say it’s doubtful that many undocumented immigrants would be brought into the military. And Obama made it an option, not an order.

Sen. Kirsten Gillibrand Renews Push for Senate Vote on Military Sexual Assault
“It’s Congress' responsibility to act as if the brave survivors of sexual assault are our sons, our daughters, our husbands and our lives who are being betrayed by the greatest military on earth.
Former Vice President Dick Cheney
In wake of Senate report, Dick Cheney says terrorists 'not covered by the Geneva Convention'
The truth is unlawful combatants are still accorded a minimum degree of protection, including a ban on "violence to life and person, in particular murder of all kinds, mutilation, cruel treatment and torture," and "outrages upon personal dignity, in particular humiliating and degrading treatment," both of which have been validated by the Supreme Court.
Former Vice President Dick Cheney
Cheney on torture report: Saddam Hussein 'had a 10-year relationship with al-Qaida'.
Chaney's claim on NBC’s Meet the Press, Dec. 14, 2014, is refuted by high-level government reports based on a trove of secret Iraqi government documents that fell into American hands after the invasion.
Peter King R-ny
Peter King says Senate CIA report found detainees were not killed, did not suffer 'lasting injuries'.
King minimized what the report said.   Someone did die, an eye was lost, detainees were made to stand on broken limbs and deprived of sleep for 180 hours.  One detainee suffered chronic hemorrhoids and anal fissure due to rectal feeding.  All likely suffer with PTSD.

Republicans attempt to sabotage U.S. foreign policy and stampede America into another war in the Middle East.
A group of 47 Republican senators have written an open letter to Iran's leaders warning them that any nuclear deal they sign with President Barack Obama's administration won't last after Obama leaves office.  This grossly immature and unethical manipulation of National policy to undermine national security is unthinkable. If Iran does not sigh the agreement we are left with two horrible options; a nuclear Iran or war.

U.S. military involvement in Libya "allowed thousands of surface-to-air missiles to fall into the hands of radical Islamists."
US military involvement did not cause missiles to go missing, looting began before the US intervened, and while many of Libya’s 20,000 surface-to-air missiles did go missing during the conflict, thousands more were destroyed, recovered, rendered inoperable or believed to be in the hands of militias that aren’t radical Islamic terrorists.
Evan Bayh, D-Ind
"The fastest-growing part of the Pentagon’s budget are health care expenses."
There’s little debate that generous military health care benefits are taking up an ever-increasing share of the Pentagon’s budget.
John Boehner
House Republicans want to block predatory lending protections for American troops, under pressure from big banks.
In 2006, Congress capped interest rates on payday loans at 36 % for our soldiers, but big banks created "deposit advance products" with effective interest rates of 300 %. But Republicans have added deregulation into the National Defense Authorization Act, which would block protections and leave our soldiers vulnerable.
Richard Clarke
"President Obama said he was going to stop (signature strikes)."
As far as Politifact can tell, Obama has never said himself that he would stop signature drone strikes, which killed two western civilian hostages. An unnamed administration official implied that signature strikes would eventually be phased out.
Marco Rubio
Presidential candidate Rubio states that the United States "is not modernizing its nuclear weapons."
While the United States has reduced the number of warheads, it has also been modernizing nuclear equipment and has plans to continue to do so.
Jeb Bush Fl
"Only one person has been fired" at the Veterans Administration for withholding services.
Data reviewed by Politifact through May 14 showed that 18 permanent employees have been fired for patient scheduling, record manipulation, appointment delays, and/or patient deaths.

"Every year we spend and waste roughly $500 billion on tax compliance. That is roughly the budget of our entire military."
Military spending exceeded $800 billion not counting spending on conflicts abroad and other items not in the military’s nearly $500 billion base budget.  Americans spend between $107 billion in 2005 to $153 billion to prepare and file tax returns according to GAO estimation.
George W Bush
George W. Bush charged $100k for speech fundraiser for the wounded vets that he sent into harms way.
The 2012 Helping a Hero Gala "raised unprecedented funds", but veterans who lost limbs are incensed that he charged $100,000 plus $20,00 for private jet. Bush's typical speaking fee
is $250,000.  These extravagant fees are common for all former presidents.
Joe Theismann
Former NFL QB Joe Theismann says, "We don’t have a (military) reserve force if something happens."
Automatic federal cuts as part of sequestration are shrinking the military. Leaders have warned that cuts could reduce the Army’s ability to respond to crises. But the Army Reserve, which Theismann says he was talking about, very much remains in existence and would be available, along with the National Guard, to assist the border patrol or active military in emergencies.
Jeb Bush Fl
Jeb Bush says a law passed under Bill Clinton banned guns at military recruiting offices
The Department of Defense issued a directive, not a law, in 1992-when Bush’s father was president. It did not ban firearms outright; it limited them to military personnel who held certain jobs, such as positions in law enforcement. The Army issued a regulation implementing that directive in 1993 -- two months after Clinton was in office.
Donald Trump
The five Guantanamo detainees swapped for Bowe Bergdahl "are right now back on the battlefield."
The Taliban Five are known to be in Qatar, where they have been since their release over a year ago. Qatar is considered neutral ground -- not a battlefield -- and they are not allowed to leave the country.
Nicholas Kristof-New York Times
Kristof wrote in the New York Times that "More Americans have died from guns in the United States since 1968 than on battlefields of all the wars in American history."
The number of gun deaths since 1968 — including, as Kristof was careful to note, both homicides and suicides — was higher than war fatalities by roughly 120,000 deaths, or almost four years’ worth of gun deaths in the United States.
