Larry Pratt-fox News
A gun "background check is futile. Something like 42 (people during the) last year … were prosecuted for trying to buy a gun with a criminal record out of 11 million."
In 2010 153,000 applications to purchase a firearm or obtain a permit were blocked. Thousands of individuals continue to be denied a firearm because of background checks by authorities and gun sellers.  Few are convicted.

The influx of children comes mainly from the most troubled nations in Central America. The claim that Obama’s policy created the influx does not match the timeline and ignores other important factors.
James Brown Cbs Sports
'More than 3 women per day' are killed by their partner.
During the Sept. 11 pregame broadcast, Brown urged men to learn "what healthy, respectful manhood is all about" and to "give help or to get help, because our silence is deafening and deadly."  Domestic violence experts confirm his claim.
Amy Klobuchar Cnn State Of The Union
Klobuchar: Children who witness domestic violence are twice as likely to commit domestic violence.
A 2010 study shows children who witnessed any intimate partner violence are 2.6 times as likely to perpetrate it themselves.  Children who witnessed any violence were 1.6 times as likely to become perpetrators.  We need new studies.
Republican Policies Questioned
Republicans For Kansas Values are backing the Democratic candidate for governor because the Republican agenda has backfired in Kansas.
This organization, supported by an extensive list of notable Republican politicians and public servants, has posted an impressive statement called, Why Sam Brownback’s Policies are Taking Kansas in the Wrong Direction. Radical Islamist militants, Boko Haram, abduct more women in Nigeria.
Scores of young women were kidnapped from a mountain village October 18, 2014 in new abductions by Islamist militants.  There were similarities to the abductions last April of more than 200 Chibok schoolgirls.  This sheds doubt on a deal that promised the return of the first girls.

Garner may not have died if he had not been obese, but most agree that it is unlikely this would not have happened to a white man. Rep. King only wishes race was not involved.
Peter King R-ny
Peter King says Senate CIA report found detainees were not killed, did not suffer 'lasting injuries'.
King minimized what the report said.   Someone did die, an eye was lost, detainees were made to stand on broken limbs and deprived of sleep for 180 hours.  One detainee suffered chronic hemorrhoids and anal fissure due to rectal feeding.  All likely suffer with PTSD.

"According to the state of Florida, you are almost twice as likely to be attacked by an alligator than by someone who happens to carry a conceal-and-carry permit."
Politifact doesn't have data on attacks committed by people with conceal-and-carry permits. The gun data is based on an approximation using permit revocations that may or may not accurately reflect the number of "attacks." Also, the data is 10 years old.
Van Wanggaard
"There's no statistical evidence that" a waiting period for handgun purchases "reduces violence whatsoever."
There is research to indicate that handgun waiting periods are linked with lower suicide rates. But Politifact did not find evidence that waiting periods coincide with less violence being committed by one person against another.
Russell Brand
"The American murder rate is 50 times that of any other developed nation."

Prayer Request
We ask every reader to take time to lift all the Paris victims and their families up in Prayer.
Don't forget to pray for the misguided members of ISIS who think that God likes the murder of innocents.  They do not represent Muslim teachings. Mohamed was a man of peace.  May they understand the true meaning of their faith.
